An accessibility feature set for Apple glasses has been revealed in a beta edition of iOS 14.2.
Today’s first beta reveals a new ‘People Detection’ feature is set to come to iPhones. This new accessibility tool uses an iPhone’s camera to assist people with vision impairment in understanding their proximity to other people nearby, communicating the estimated distance between the carrier and those people.
What’s undoubtedly a good feature for iPhone is a better feature for Apple glasses, provided the BOM contains a forward facing camera or another suitable sensor. Battery life and privacy concerns leave a big question mark hanging over either.
